Please help us welcome a true American hero, as Medal of Honor recipient Sammy Lee Davis speaks Friday, February 9, at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s Hatfield Hall.

Davis received the Medal of Honor in 1968 for his bravery in South Vietnam, where he saved the lives of many of his comrades. His story inspired the actions of Forrest Gump in the Oscar-winning film.

Davis especially welcomes the opportunity to meet with other veterans and young people aspiring to serve. He would appreciate meeting with you at this special event.

Please join us to honor and learn from this genuine American hero. Davis will also be signing copies of his book, “You Don’t Lose ‘Til You Quit Trying: Lessons on Adversity and Victory from a Vietnam Veteran and Medal of Honor Winner."
